Powerful Team Of The 1920s
Frank B. Fisk Semi-Pro Baseball Team

This is a photo of the Frank B. Fisk semi-pro baseball team, sponsored by Eggleston Tire Company, that played in the Bi-County League in the Leaksville area in the 1920s.  It was one of the most powerful semi-pro baseball teams the area ever produced. They regularly finished among the top teams in the league.  On the front row are (from left to right): Frank Eggleston, Ring Carter, Emmett Taylor, John Foddrell, Francis Barham, and the manager/preacher Rev. J. W. McCollum.  On the back row are, Tom Price, Robert Evans, Russell Dodson, Joe White, and Arthur Whitehead.  (Photo submitted by Richard Carter)
