Second Lieutenant Denny Page Aldridge, 23, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Aldridge of Reidsville, was killed when the plane he was flying crashed near Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., where he was undergoing advanced gunnery training.
Lt. Aldridge was a 1948 graduate of Reidsville High School. He attended the University of North Carolina for three years before joining the Air Force in 1951. He went through flight training, getting his wings and his commission as an officer in March. He was buried in Reidlawn Cemetery with full military rites.
