Registration books will be open Oct. 17-Nov. 7 for a special election Nov. 14 at which residents of Hampton Heights, Stoneville Road and the Patterson development will decide if they want to be annexed into Leaksville. 

Residents in those areas previously filed petitions with 563 signatures seeking annexation into the town. If the annexation is approved, the 79-year-old Leaksville will grow in population to about 6,200 from its present 5,000.
