Whiskey Bust

Whiskey seizure by Rockingham County (NC) Deputies  in Leaksville during the Prohibition era of the 1920s. Pictured left to right are: Lace Cook, G. W. Woods, and Capt. Hundley. This photo was taken across the street from the old Central Hotel on Main Street. At one time there was a Shell Station (named Main Street Shell) across street from the Central Hotel that was later torn down , close to Jones Hardware.
