Great web site. Enjoyed looking at everything. I was born in Leaksville in 1952 in the old hospital in downtown Leaksville on the day Eisenhower was elected president. In fact my mother said that she voted, (for Eisenhower) and then went into labor. I was born at 11:04pm on 11/04. I was delivered by Dr Reeser. Remember his old walkup office in downtown Leaksville? My parents and one of my brothers still live in Eden. I have been gone from Leaksville since 1983. Might end up back there one day.

Really enjoy web. Attended Lakeside Graded-Leaksville Junior High-Tricity High and went Air Force in 1956 for the next 22 years. Spray was a great place to live and it's nice to be able to look at the old photo's and be able to email old friends. Great job.

Born and raised in Draper, there was always that friendly rivalry. One cold winter nite we loaded a bunch of Draper boys in my 1953 Ford convertible and at the Leaksville city limits, put the top down. The police stopped us on Bridge Street and told us to do the sensible thing, put the top up that we were turning blue. I told him it was a reflection off Billy Horsley's blue London fog. He told us to get out of his city, and he escorted us to the city limits. No ticket that time, though.

I lived in Leaksville or the Central Area from 1960 until I went to college. I remember all the members of the Missing Links--It seems to me that they played at a Soph. dance at MHS. I played football with John Carter and Mike Gallimore. Was in band with Mike Church and Charles Clifton. This web site sure brought back many fond memories, at least as best as I can remember. I rarely get up to L-S-D these days, so it's nice to take a nostalgic trip back there.

What a wonderful site! My trip down memory lane brought both smiles and tears. I lived in Leaksville from 1953 through 1969 when I graduated from MHS. My dad (J.C. Honeycutt) taught and coached at MHS, and was a principal for many years. He was my hero and it broke my heart when he died in 1997. My mother (Sue Honeycutt) taught at Burton Grove Elementary, Leaksville Graded School, and Central Elementary. She is now retired and continues to live in Eden. Both my parents had a strong love for their town and the schools of Leaksville, Spray, and Draper. I have three siblings (Bob, Nancy, and Eric) who also grew up in Leaksville and graduated from MHS. I now live in Virginia Beach and think of my early days in Leaksville often. I love to come "home", but when I can't, I can now come to your website! THANK YOU!
